Elise and Donny Dykowsky wrote The Hanukkah Fairy for their daughters. It began when their twin girls were babies as a way to add a little extra magic to the holidays. What started as a family tradition grew into a modern celebration of Hanukkah, magic, and belonging. And now…it’s yours!

What ages is the book for?

The Hanukkah Fairy is for children ages 3–10. Its rhyming story is made to be read aloud, so younger children can enjoy it with a grown-up and older readers can join in.

Do we need a plush toy to enjoy it?

The book is a complete adventure on its own. The hiding, seeking, and kindness ideas are optional ways to keep the story going at home. The plush pals are still in development.

Is it just for families who celebrate Hanukkah?

The story celebrates Jewish joy and Hanukkah traditions, and welcomes anyone who wants to read along. Belonging, courage, and kindness are at its heart.
